Garbage management in the Kathmandu Valley has been disrupted again due to regular rains for the past few days. According to Sarita Rai, Chief of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Environment Department, only 100 vehicles are currently managing the garbage due to the road blockage. The stench had spread in the Kathmandu Valley due to the inability of 18 locals to manage garbage at Sisdol Bancharedanda. I was doing regular work.
According to the CPN (Maoist), the problem has been repeated every day even though the obstruction of the locals has been removed for the time being. According to the Department of Environment, a fine of Rs. 500 will be levied each time the garbage is not segregated during garbage collection. This is not a new practice, however, in the 32-ward KAMPA.
