In Banke, 95.5 percent children have been vaccinated against Kovid-19. According to the Health Office, Banke, 95.5 percent children from eight local levels have been vaccinated in the first four days. The target was to vaccinate 239 people, but only 95.5 percent or 72,788 children of Banke have been vaccinated in the four-day campaign. According to the Health Office, Banke, 66,323 people were vaccinated on the third day, 9,002 on the third day and 11,947 on the fourth day.
Shrestha, who is also the focal person, said that the vaccination campaign is being carried out at the locally designated vaccination center targeting the children of the slums as per the need. It was brought into operation in the municipality at once. Vaccination centers were set up at 508 places in the district. Earlier, a campaign was launched in Banke to vaccinate people above 12 years of age. In Kohalpur and Baijnath, 100 per cent vaccination has been carried out. The vaccination progress of Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan municipality is 76.7 percent. A total of 15,522 people have been vaccinated against the target. The vaccination progress of Duduwa village municipality is 59.3 percent under the vaccination campaign. Out of the target of vaccinating 6,988 children, only 4,144 people have been vaccinated, according to the Health Office Banke.
