
The Maldhunga-Beni road connecting Maldhunga of Parbat to Beni of Myagdi under the Kaligand Corridor has been blocked since last night.
Transportation service has been disrupted due to landslide on the side of the road due to continuous rain since Friday evening. According to the District Traffic Police Office, Parbat, a large landslide has fallen near Maldhunga in Kushma Municipality-1. According to District Police Office, Parbat, Inspector Rajendra Adhikari, there was a problem as dozers and trippers were kept ready to clear the blocked road but the rain did not stop. He said that an initiative will be taken to open the road as soon as the rains stop.
Vehicles left from Myagdi and Mustang have been stranded at Khaniyaghat due to the road blockage, while vehicles from other places have been stranded at Maldhunga. Some vehicles have been plying through Baglung using alternative routes. The road under construction has been blocked for the last two weeks due to rains
