Forward Memphis Depay missed a penalty in injury time as the Netherlands were knocked out of the UEFA Nations League A Group 4 win over Poland. Matthew Kass and Piotr Jilenski of Poland scored in Saturday night’s match in Feijennard, while Davy Klaassen and Denzel Demprez equalized for the home side.

Poland took the lead in the 18th minute through a goal by Matty Cass. He managed to score on a pass from Nikola Jalevaksi. At the start of the second half, the Netherlands equalized with three goals in six minutes. Piotr Jilenski scored in the 49th minute to give Poland a 2-0 lead. However, Poland could not maintain that lead. Davy Klaassen scored in the 51st minute to signal the Dutch team’s return to the game. He managed to score on a pass from Dale Blind. In the 54th minute, Denzel Dumfrez scored on a pass from Memphis Depa to make it 2-2.

In the first minute of injury time, the Dutch team missed out on a penalty kick. The Netherlands, unbeaten with a draw, is still at the top with seven points from three games. Poland is in third place with 4 points. Belgium are second with 4 points and Wales are bottom with 1 point. In the other match of the same group, Wales and Belgium have drawn 1-1. Belgium’s Yuri Tillemans scored while Wales’ Brennan Johnson equalized.
