The ‘Nepal Chamber Expo 2022’ is starting from today at Bhrikuti Mandap organized by the Nepal Chamber of Commerce with the objective of making economic activities run smoothly and promoting indigenous products. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inaugurate the fifth edition of the Commerce Fair. The previous two editions were suspended due to the risk of Covid-19 infection. The fifth edition emphasizes trade interaction, exchange of import and export information and marketing of Nepali products. The Chamber said that the direct participation of the international business community in the chamber expo would help in closely monitoring the economic activities taking place in the international arena, use of new technologies and new dimensions of trade management and would also help Nepali industrialists.
The exhibition is expected to give priority to the use of quality goods in the fair and to increase public awareness about consumer interests. It is believed that the chamber fair will also help in increasing the export. The fair will also showcase and sell domestic and indigenous products as well as agricultural and herbal products, electronics, electronics, garments and textiles, leather goods, cosmetics, food and dairy products. Bangladesh is a partner country in the international fair organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and the Trade and Export Promotion Center. The fair has more than 150 stalls including industrialists from Nepal, India, Pakistan and other countries. The main objective of the international fair is to market Nepali products and to create a dynamic economic environment by involving the international business community.
