
Church Boys United, which has risen to the top division this year, has entered the semifinals of the 6th Nepal Ice Shubhakamana Gold Cup Football Tournament in Pokhara Hemja. In a very competitive match, both teams created some scoring chances but could not score any more goals.
In the second minute of the match, Ashish Chaudhary’s strike on the pass of Church Boys captain Milan Rai could not take the direction of the post. In the 25 th minute, Nishan Khadka’s long shot was saved by Kalika goalkeeper Pradip Bhandari. Ashok Khawas’s long pass was controlled by Asish and the strike turned into a goal by beating the goalkeeper Pradip Bhandari. After that, Church Boys emerged victorious as no more goals could be scored. The third quarterfinal match will be played between Khumaltar Youth Club and Bagmati Youth Club. A total of 8 teams are participating in the competition.
